Hamilton is 0-10 against Fremont since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hamilton Marines will head out on the road to face off against the Fremont Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Hamilton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 29-27 win over Lakeland Christian Academy. The win was just what Hamilton needed coming off of a 57-21 loss in their prior game.
Dylan Holiday and Andrew Merritt were among the main playmakers for Hamilton as the former scored 4 points along with 12 rebounds and the latter scored 9 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Olson, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Fremont got the win against Garrett on Tuesday by a conclusive 61-40. The victory was just what Fremont needed coming off of a 89-55 loss in their prior game.
The losses dropped Hamilton to 1-2 and Lakeland Christian Academy to 0-3.
Hamilton was dealt a bruising 90-31 loss at the hands of Fremont when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Hamilton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
