 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Brookelyn Duerfeldt, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Karly Romero, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Poly  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Banning only posted  an  OBP of  .417.
Poly is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. Banning is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-7.
 Looking ahead, Poly will be taking part in a tournament against Clovis  at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Banning, they have already played their next match,  a  15-10  loss against Grand Terrace on the 21st.
