Nueva Esperanza's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 52-25 loss at the hands of Hill Freedman World Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nueva Esperanza has scored all season.
Hill Freedman World Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyshawn McNair-Benn out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. McNair-Benn is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Darius Frazier was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Nueva Esperanza bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hill Freedman World Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
