The Pacifica Mariners are taking a road trip to take on the Cypress Centurions at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Pacifica has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Pacifica gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out El Modena 10-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mariners considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Leyla Ayres was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Sanaiyah Cleland also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cypress, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They skirted past Kennedy 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Fighting Irish: they've now won nine in a row.
Chach Stamper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tia Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Pacifica's record now sits at 13-8. As for Cypress, their record is now 14-7.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pacifica hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like Cypress struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pacifica came out on top in a nail-biter against Cypress when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mariners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
