Clinton extended the longest winning streak in West Central this week by beating Smith-Cotton, 33-12. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Cardinals.
O'Hara's dynamic duo of Michael Briggs and Cardell Miller proved tough for Center to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Briggs threw for 113 yards and one touchdown and Miller had 56 yards receiving. Hondo Pearcy helped O'Hara's passing attack out by catching two balls for 25 yards.
Chris Sidfrid was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 361 yards on 41 carries as Clinton fell to the Yellowjackets. Teammate Sam Cover added to the ground attack by rushing for 49 yards.
St. Pius X's Grant Gavin and Bennie Palmentere have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gavin has thrown for 825 yards this season, while Palmentere, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 21 catches for 292 yards. Chris Smoot's team's Sidfrid leads the league in rushing yards with 1500.
A big matchup in West Central this week will be when the Tigers take on the Cardinals. At the moment, Smith-Cotton is in third, while Clinton is in first.
Center led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on O'Hara.
