West Point led 1A Conference 42 in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Charles City. Robert "Mikey" Anerton threw for 189 yards and 4 touchdowns during the win.
Robert Drewry was a key player and the best on defense this week as Middlesex bested Mathews. The 5-foot-11 senior nabbed 1 interception.
He was 11-19 with 0 interceptions.
Marques Holmes was a passing and rushing force as the Chargers topped the Blue Devils. He completed 12 passes for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 150 yards. Holmes' favorite target this week was Drewry, who caught 6 passes for 81 yards.
Drewry was the best wideout in the league this week as Middlesex defeated Mathews. Drewry tallied 6 receptions for 81 yards. D'Angelo King helped Middlesex's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 45 yards.
The Pointers' Anerton and Chase Stewart have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Anerton has thrown for 2,337 yards this season, while Stewart has 35 catches for 732 yards. Billy Jarvis' team's Holmes leads the league in rushing yards with 1,200.
West Point made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,637 from 8,834. The improvement was largely due to a 47-0 victory over the Panthers last week.
