Basketball Recap: Jalen Reece Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central Pointe Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Oak Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past the Central Pointe Christian Academy CPCA with a 75-70 victory on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Pioneers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Oak Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jalen Reece, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten assists. Reece is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Jamier Jones was another key player, going 7 of 10 on his way to 18 points along with five assists and three steals.

Oak Ridge's record is now 14-8. As for Central Pointe Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Oak Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-62 victory against Blake on the 1st. As for Central Pointe Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-66 win against DME Academy Blue on the 31st.
