The biggest upset of the week belonged to Freeport, who took down 149th ranked Freeport, 14-12.
Guilford was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in Northern Illinois. The Vikings defeated Belvidere 42-14 earlier in the week.
Auburn's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Devone Manns chipped in 130 yards. Contrell Curry helped Auburn's passing attack out by catching two balls for 28 yards.
Jacquarius Edwards was the best wideout in the league this week as the Knights lost to Harlem. Edwards racked up three receptions for 133 yards.
East's Jacob Benson and Austin Young have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Benson has thrown for 1132 yards this season, while Young, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 23 catches for 658 yards. The Huskies' Kevin Witcik leads the league in rushing yards with 627.
A big matchup in Northern Illinois this week will be when Hononegah takes on Harlem. As it stands, the Indians are in second, while Jim Morrow's team is in third.
There should be lots of points scored when Hononegah and the Huskies face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Tim Sughroue's team comes in having scored 158 this season, while Harlem has scored 161. The Indians scored 55 points last week as they defeated Jefferson.
Boylan extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the E-Rabs, 41-9. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
