Stockton is 8-2 against East Dubuque since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Stockton Blackhawks will head out on the road to face off against the East Dubuque Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Stockton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Tuesday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-28, which was the final score in Stockton's tilt against Galena. Stockton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.
Stockton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Madie Mammoser, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Ireland Mensendike who scored ten points. Mammoser is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.
Meanwhile, East Dubuque scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Carroll 92-33 on the road. The win was just what East Dubuque needed coming off of a 62-36 loss in their prior contest.
Stockton has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for East Dubuque, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13.
Stockton came up short against East Dubuque when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 47-35. Can Stockton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
