The Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They really took it to Finneytown for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-38 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Madeira has managed all season.
Leading Madeira to victory were Will Manning and Aidan Hopewell. Manning scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals, while Hopewell scored 20 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hopewell has scored all season. Carson Shafer was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Madeira's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Finneytown, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Madeira will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Fighting Owls at 7:30 p.m. Finneytown is on the road again on Wednesday and plays the at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
