Even though The Dumas Bobcats scored an imposing 32 points on Friday, the McGehee Owls still came out on top. McGehee took their game against Dumas 45-32. McGehee pushed the score to 38-12 by the end of the third, a deficit Dumas cut but never quite recovered from.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joseph Jones, who threw for 286 yards and five touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Teshawn Henderson, who picked up 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
McGehee now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Dumas, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-4.
McGehee will face off against DeWitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dumas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
