Parkwood lost to Forest Hills 56-25 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tre Butler ran for 112 yards in the loss.
Jared Lee was a passing and rushing force as the Yellowjackets topped Parkwood. He completed 4 passes for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 276 yards. Lee's favorite target this week was B. J. Ashcraft, who caught 4 passes for 74 yards.
Lee was a force in the backfield as Forest Hills defeated Lynn Coble's team.
Sam Mobley was the best wideout in 2A Conference 9 this week as the Rebels fell to John Lowery's team. Mobley racked up 6 receptions for 86 yards. Josh Coble helped Parkwood's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 25 yards.
Parkwood's Grey Wyrick and Mobley have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Wyrick has thrown for 1,077 yards this season, while Mobley has 32 catches for 603 yards. Lee from the Yellowjackets leads the league in rushing with 815 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Monroe takes on second place Parkwood. Last week, Monroe beat Mount Pleasant, while the Rebels fell to Forest Hills.
Two of the top teams in 2A Conference 9 will go toe-to-toe this week when Parkwood takes on the Redhawks. The Rebels' offense has recorded 246 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Monroe has permitted only 125 on the year.
