The La Salette Academy Lions came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Assumption Academy 51-33. For La Salette Academy, this counts as revenge for the 40-31 defeat Assumption Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead La Salette Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elijah Hall, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Charles Prather was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
La Salette Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Assumption Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Salette Academy will take on Milford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Milford is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Assumption Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cincinnati Landmark at 7:15 p.m. on February 13th.
