The Salisbury Dragons lost against the Greenwood Mennonite Flames back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Salisbury took a hard 45-26 fall against Greenwood Mennonite. Salisbury has not had much luck with Greenwood Mennonite recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Laci Mast was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with two steals for Greenwood Mennonite. Mast is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Carli Welfley was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds.
Salisbury bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salisbury will square off against Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenwood Mennonite, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Baptist School at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Faith Baptist School: 21.4, Greenwood Mennonite: 20.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
