The Philip Scotties will head out on the road to face off against the Wall Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Philip posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat New Underwood 48-14 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Philip.
Philip's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Terkildsen led the charge by scoring seven points along with eight steals and five assists. Terkildsen is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mattisen Reckling, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Wall waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 68-28 victory over Chamberlain on the road.
Philip now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Wall, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Philip took a serious blow against Wall when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 68-30. Can Philip avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
