Having struggled with four losses in a row, Pine Ridge turned things around against Mahpiya Luta on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Crusaders 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Thorpes have posted since October 11th.
Pine Ridge wouldn't go down easily and took Mahpiya Luta into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 17-25, 20-25, 15-11.
Meanwhile, Edgemont came up short against Wall on Friday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Moguls have suffered against the Eagles since October 23, 2020.
Edgemont was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Wall work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-8.
Edgemont has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season. As for Pine Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 21-12.
