Marshfield have to be hurting after a devastating 20-41 loss at the hands of Springfield Catholic last Friday. Marshfield got a solid performance out of senior Brock Utecht, who punched in 2 rushing TDs and accumulated 144 passing yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Hollister, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They came out on top against McDonald County with a 35-28.
Hollister's win lifted them to 2-2 while Marshfield's defeat dropped them down to 2-2. In their win, Hollister relied heavily on senior Logan Armitage, who caught passes for 202 yards and punched in 1 rushing TD. Marshfield will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
