The Jackson Aggies waltzed into their matchup Saturday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clarke County 65-19 at home. Jackson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Jackson found their leader in underclassman Angel Powell, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmine Jones, who scored ten points along with seven assists.
Jackson pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.8 points. As for Clarke County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson will challenge Leroy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarke County, they will head out on the road to face off against Choctaw County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Choctaw County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
