Oldham County proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Trinity Raiders 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Colonels sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Kennedy Dennison looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jozie Lashley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Lori Edgar also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Oldham County pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games.
