St. Mary's will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Wausa at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-44, which was the final score in St. Mary's's tilt against Bloomfield last Friday. St. Mary's were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-30.
Meanwhile, everything went Wausa's way against Chambers/Wheeler Central/Ewing as they made off with a 47-14 victory.
Wausa's win lifted them to 2-1 while St. Mary's's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Wausa's success rolls on or if St. Mary's are able to steal their positive momentum.
