Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aria Reckner, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Western Reserve hit Lowellville with a four-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rockets fell 9-4 to the Blue Devils. The Rockets have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Mckenna Lewis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and seven unearned) runs on ten hits.
On the hitting side, Eliza Primous made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Estevez, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
David Anderson's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Lowellville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
