The Kennard Tigers had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 59-58 win over Centerville. The win was just what Kennard needed coming off of a 67-45 loss in their prior match.
Centerville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Iain Kendrick, who scored 30 points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Clede, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Kennard's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-22. As for Centerville, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-20.
Kennard will take on Martinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centerville, they will head out on the road to face off against Apple Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Apple Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
