This season hasn't been kind to the Houlka Wildcats, who are still winless after their 17th match. They took a hard 34-15 fall against Vardaman on Tuesday. Houlka lost against Vardaman in their previous head to head on Saturday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-25 score last time.
Despite the loss, Houlka still got an impressive performance from Destiny Foster, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Houlka bumped their record down to 0-17 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Vardaman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houlka will take on West Lowndes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Lowndes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Vardaman, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Okolona at 6:00 p.m. Okolona is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
