Interlake had to suffer through a rough 74-47 loss at the hands of Redmond. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Interlake has suffered since December 15, 2023.
Interlake's loss on Monday came despite strong showings from Harper Moore and Tiffany Shaw. Moore scored 17 points, while Shaw scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Shaw continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cammy Roed, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Redmond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Iha Kasam, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Kasam hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Sofia Locati, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Interlake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Redmond, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Interlake will take on Bellevue at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellevue presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Interlake in Washington (Bellevue is ranked 63rd, while Interlake is ranked 229th). As for Redmond, they will be playing at home against Juanita at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
