Elliot Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeremy Nielsen, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The game was Nielsen's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Gaither, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Elliot Christian bumped their record down to 4-8 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Averroes, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elliot Christian is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Venture Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Venture Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,011 points over their last 14 contests. As for Averroes, they will head out on the road to face off against Emery at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
