The Dunellen Destroyers lost against the Perth Amboy Vo-Tech Patriots on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Dunellen took a hard 54-36 fall against the Patriots.
Several Destroyers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Hutchins, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Hutchins hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Jamael Davis was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Dunellen now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Perth Amboy Vo-Tech, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Dunellen will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Brunswick Vo-Tech is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Perth Amboy Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to take on the Governors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Amboy is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
