Lincoln County entered their tilt with Washington-Wilkes on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Washington-Wilkes Tigers 52-49. This was payback for the Red Devils, who suffered a 53-52 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Lincoln County to victory were Syriah Hogan and Janiah Norman. Hogan dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards, while Norman went 9 of 16 on her way to 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Norman has scored at least a third of Lincoln County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christina Johnson, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Lincoln County's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Washington-Wilkes, they moved to 3-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
