Glendale is 8-2 against the Tornados since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Glendale Nitros will look to defend their home court against the Hoover Tornados at 6:45 p.m. Glendale is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Glendale lost to the Falcons on the road by a decisive 62-48 margin. While losing is never fun, Glendale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Falcons are ranked 179th).
Meanwhile, Hoover pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Burbank by a score of 66-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), Hoover still had to take the loss.
Glendale's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Hoover, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
Glendale strolled past the Tornados when the teams last played back in January by a score of 64-50. Will Glendale repeat their success, or do the Tornados have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
