Shelton lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Fairfield Prep, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Gaels put the hurt on the Jesuits with a sharp 10-3 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Gaels, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

With the win, Shelton broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12. As for Fairfield Prep, they moved to 15-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
