Waupaca is 0-10 against Freedom since May of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Comets will welcome the Irish at 4:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Waupaca came up short against Oconto Falls and fell 7-3. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waupaca saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was H Bechard, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Bechard has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. A Koran also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Freedom, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let Clintonville get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Irish have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kailey Stordeur made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Stordeur was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Carrington Klug and Jovie Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Klug went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Smith went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Klug has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Marlee Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Freedom always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clintonville only posted an OBP of .250.
Freedom's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Waupaca, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Waupaca suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Freedom in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Comets have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
