Natchitoches Central won the last time they faced Captain Shreve and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Natchitoches Central Chiefs put the hurt on the Captain Shreve Gators with a sharp 7-1 win.

Sydney Terrell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Ehren Guidroz was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Natchitoches Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Captain Shreve, they moved to 10-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Natchitoches Central will square off against Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Captain Shreve, they will venture away from home to square off against Huntington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
