Basketball Recap: River Dell Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Pat Sweeny and Aditya Pandya

River Dell suffered their closest loss since February 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Ramsey Rams by a score of 60-57. Even though they lost, the Golden Hawks' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.6 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Aditya Pandya and Pat Sweeny certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Pandya dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Sweeny went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Rossig, who posted six points.

This is the second loss in a row for River Dell and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Ramsey, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

River Dell will take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ramsey, they will venture away from home to take on Mahwah at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
