After a string of three wins, Fruitport's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Western Michigan Christian Warriors by a score of 62-60. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Fruitport's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Western Michigan Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fruitport will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Fowler at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Western Michigan Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Muskegon Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
