After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwest, the Harlandale Indians were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 71-56 victory over McCollum. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Harlandale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Salvador Guillen, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guillen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Regalado, who scored 23 points along with five assists and two steals.
Harlandale's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for McCollum, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-15.
Harlandale will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southside at 6:30 p.m. Southside has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 18. As for McCollum, they will head out on the road to challenge Southwest Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
