Providence Classical will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Preparatory Christian Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Providence Classical has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 46-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of NorthPoint Christian Academy on Tuesday.
Despite their defeat, Providence Classical saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Xan Rahalawicz , who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals, was perhaps the best of all. The matchup was Rahalawicz 's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bryson Lahr, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Liberty Preparatory Christian was beaten by Jackson Day 62-35 on Friday.
Providence Classical's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Providence Classical was dealt a bruising 62-32 defeat at the hands of Liberty Preparatory Christian when the teams last played back in January. Can Providence Classical avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
