A District 7 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Kiefer extended the longest winning streak in A District 7 this week by beating Morrison, 23-8. This was the team's 10th consecutive win.
Hominy took down Drumright 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Kiefer's dynamic duo of Justin Rovang and Trysten Edwards proved tough for the Wildcats to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rovang threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns and Edwards had 95 yards receiving. Carlos Capehart helped Kiefer's passing attack out by catching two balls for 38 yards.
JR Wakely was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 118 yards on 13 carries as Yale beat Morrison. Chris Glasby also contributed to the rushing game with 69 yards on the ground.
Thanks to the talents of Rovang and Trey Sneed the Trojans have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Rovang leads the league in passing with 816 yards, while Sneed has rushed for 922 yards this season. The Bulldogs' Devion Saunders leads the league in receiving yards with 333 on 18 catches.
Sneed of the Kiefer is only 78 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
