Norwayne had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Northwestern Huskies on Monday. The Bobcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Norwayne's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Northwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Norwayne will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Huskies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
