This season hasn't been kind to the Liberty Christian Academy Knights, who are still winless after their 11th match. While losing is never fun, Liberty Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 649th, while Temple Christian is ranked 322nd).
Tanner Kuykendall and Bryan Bunnells certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Kuykendall scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks, while Bunnells scored nine points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kuykendall has scored all season.
Temple Christian was led to victory by Zachariah Rivera and Jeremiah Rivera. Rivera scored 12 points along with six steals, while Rivera scored eight points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. Rivera hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games.
Liberty Christian Academy's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Temple Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Liberty Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Columbus Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. As for Temple Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Antioch Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
