The Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers will face off against the Mountain View Prep Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Legion Collegiate Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Legion Collegiate Academy barely beat Mountain Island Charter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lancers put the hurt on the Raptors with a sharp 17-10 victory two weeks ago. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lancers considering their two-run performance the game before.
Amelia Mason made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Mason was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on El Desermia, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Zoe Davis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
Legion Collegiate Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mountain View Prep had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Broome by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday.
Like Legion Collegiate Academy, Mountain View Prep also got a great game from a two-way player: Braley Richardson. On the mound, she tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Richardson was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other pitching news, Emma-Kate Thomason tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched.
Back at the plate, Mya Codispoti was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Sullivan, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Legion Collegiate Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Mountain View Prep, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-8.
