If Haltom was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of North Dallas on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Haltom Buffalos fell 8-4 to the Godley Wildcats on Friday. The Buffalos' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Haltom saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Shipp, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Haltom's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Godley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.
