The Omaha Eagles won the last time they faced the Lead Hill Tigers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Omaha came out on top against Lead Hill by a score of 61-48. Given Omaha's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Lead Hill is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Lead Hill saw an underclassman step up: Coda Lemon scored 18 points along with 6 steals. Lemon scored a full 37.5% of Lead Hill's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Nicklas May was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 9 rebounds.
Omaha pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Lead Hill, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Coincidentally, Omaha and Lead Hill will both be playing Kingston the next time they take the court. Lead Hill will host Kingston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Omaha will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
