AAAAA Region 3 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Windsor Forest moved up to 287 from 313 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAAA Region 3. The Knights were able to make move up by besting Groves 22-0.
Ware County extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Richmond Hill, 27-24. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
The Rebels' Jessie Robbins and Thomas Fields have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Robbins has thrown for 399 yards this season, while Fields, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 10 catches for 190 yards. David Katzman from the Wildcats leads the league in rushing with 580 yards.
A big matchup in AAAAA Region 3 this week will be when Effingham County takes on Glynn Academy. As it stands, the Rebels are in third, while the Terrors are in fifth.
Glynn Academy took down Bradwell Institute 55-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
