The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rutherford, who took down 209th ranked Elmwood Park, 28-27. Jim Hadrava threw for 95 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 53 yards in the win.
The Bulldogs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Pat Landrigan chipped in 157 yards. JJ Watt helped Rutherford's passing attack out by catching two balls for 38 yards.
Mike Carey was the best wideout in North Jersey - Colonial this week as Rutherford beat the Crusaders. Carey tallied three receptions for 42 yards.
Elmwood Park's Michael Dare and Nick Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dare has thrown for 631 yards this season, while Smith, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 14 catches for 339 yards. The Bulldogs' Landrigan leads the league in rushing yards with 378.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Crusaders take on Lodi. Elmwood Park is currently in second, while the Rams are in fourth.
Hawthorne led North Jersey - Colonial in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on Lodi.
