Saugerties has won four straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Wallkill has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Sawyers will welcome the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Saugerties barely beat Our Lady of Lourdes the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Sawyers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Warriors a 12-0 shutout on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Sawyers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Wallkill hadn't done well against Roosevelt recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Panthers blew past the Presidents 16-4. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Emma Hunt spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Mikaela McCue was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasey Garzione, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Saugerties' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Wallkill, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
