While Evangel Christian's win against Tuscaloosa Home Educators wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Evangel Christian Lightning narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors 2-1. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Evangel Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willa Bedsole, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Raylee Evans, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Evangel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evangel Christian will host Heritage Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Evangel Christian is facing Heritage Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Heritage Christian Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Tuscaloosa Home Educators will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Evangel Christian at 4:30 p.m. on April 3rd.
