Flagler and Bethune are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Flagler is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Stratton on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers came up short against the Eagles, falling 72-46. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite their loss, Flagler saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Owen Brent, who posted eight points, was perhaps the best of all. Brent has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Adria Castells, who had ten points and eight steals.
Meanwhile, Bethune took a blow against Pikes Peak Christian on Tuesday, falling 77-36. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.
Flagler will have to contain Josh Salinas as he made an impact in Bethune's last game. He shot 41% from the field en route to 21 points. That was a full 58.3% of Bethune's points, marking the third time in a row Salinas has put up more than a third of the team's points. Aidan Orona was another key player, putting up five points.
Flagler's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Bethune, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Flagler has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Bethune struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Flagler came up short against Bethune in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, falling 55-51. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
