The Panther Valley Panthers won the last time they faced the Roberto Clemente Charter School Pirates, and things went their way on Saturday too. Panther Valley took down Roberto Clemente Charter School 63-44.
Chase Weaver was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Logan Fisher was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Panther Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Roberto Clemente Charter School, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Panther Valley and Pottsville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Pottsville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Roberto Clemente Charter School, they will head out on the road to take on Lehigh Valley Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
