Basketball Recap: Tyner Academy Skates Past Bledsoe County with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tyner Academy). They breezed by the Bledsoe County Warriors to the tune of 79-43 on Monday. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Tyner Academy was led to victory by Rodney Henderson III and Adarius Brewster. Henderson III went 8 of 10 on his way to 17 points and five steals, while Brewster went 8 of 11 on his way to 18 points. Henderson III's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Felder, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Tyner Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Tyner Academy pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Bledsoe County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Tyner Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 104-54 victory against Marion County on the 17th. As for Bledsoe County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-53 win against Franklin County on the 19th.
