The Mather Rangers's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ogden International at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Mather got the win against the Eagles by a conclusive 49-28.
Meanwhile, Ogden International waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They really took it to Victoria Soto for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-26 victory at home. Ogden International has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 32 points or more this season.
Ogden International relied on the efforts of Zydrea Childs, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, and Jazlyn Ortiz, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Ortiz has scored at least a third of Ogden International's points. Miyah Heard was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Mather has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Ogden International, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Mather came up short against the when the teams last played back in January, falling 42-36. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ortiz, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
