Bloomington South is 0-10 against Mooresville since May of 2018 but things could change on Saturday. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Pioneers at 10:00 a.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
On Thursday, Bloomington South earned a 6-1 victory over Terre Haute North Vigo.
Brilee McGlothlin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, Sloane Barrett was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Akasha Burton also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Meanwhile, Mooresville beat Monrovia 8-3 on Friday.
Mooresville also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Aubrey Todd gave up three earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Reagan Bauer, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Tatum Humphrey was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bloomington South's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mooresville, their record now sits at 7-3.
Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bloomington South hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Mooresville struggles in that department as they've averaged .379. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bloomington South came up short against Mooresville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 4-0. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
